Who's the ugliest dog in town? Welcome to modbee.com's Ugliest Dog in Town contest!
Is your Chihuahua one tough-looking homre? Does Fifi the poodle have a mean streak? We're looking to find the ugliest dog in the Modesto area, and our sponsors have some nifty prizes for the winners.
The contest is open to dog lovers in Stanislaus, Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin and Tuolumne Counties.
You'll need to register for the contest to submit a photo of your dog. Snapshots only of living dogs - no professional portraits or shots of your beloved in Doggie Heaven. One photo per dog, one dog per contestant. (Read the Modesto Bee's official rules for all the fine points.)
Even if you think your dog is the cutest canine in the county, we still encourage you to enter the contest. Other dog lovers may not find your Fido fetching, and you could win a prize.
Once you've registered, simply go to the "Submit" page on the (Modesto Bee website) to enter a photo. All entries must be submitted online.
If you merely want to vote in the contest, you'll need to register, too, so you can rate the dogs that others have submitted.
Registered users may rate as many dogs as they'd like, once a day for the duration of the contest. When the contest ends at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, whichever dogs are rated the ugliest by the modbee.com readers will win prizes. We'll have prize information up shortly.
